Scrapbooking

This weekend I have rediscovered my love for scrapbooking. It is a love that started when I was a junior in high school and I got my first real job at a scrapbooking store called Memories. I loved that store and am still bitter that Lifestyle Fitness bought out the lease and it was closed. Throughout my junior year of college I was a faithful scrapbooker and made an ABC book for each year in addition to some more traditional pages. Then I met Kevin and got married.

He is very supportive of my creative habits but we just did not take very many pictures and I kind of lost the desire to scrapbook. Now I did make a Wedding Scrapbook which I LOVE but it is not "traditional" scrapbooking. This weekend though I got back to the basics of a 2 page layout with a title and captions and journaling and cropping and mounting pictures, etc. I decided that before the baby comes I need to get my scrapbooks up to date!

I finished four layouts this weekend. Two were from our wedding reception in Fallon and two were from our Hawaiian Honeymoon. It was a lot of fun arranging the pictures and asking Kevin's opinion and in the end doing whatever I wanted to do anyways. So the moral of the story is that I am once again hooked and now Kevin and the scrapbook store ladies need to watch out!
