Our Week In Review

Monday 5/12

• I decided that my subbing days are over!
• Kevin took his Calculus Final
• Kevin worked his last shift as a male escort at UNR
• Still no baby!

Tuesday 5/13

• I went to Spanish Springs and taught. It was quite amusing to hear all the groans when they saw me standing in the classroom.
• Kevin went to the gym and studied for his last final
• Still no baby!

Wednesday 5/14

• Kevin took his last final exam for the semester
• I stayed home and cleaned the house
• Then we went to the park and played Bocce Ball. Kevin won- barely.
  
• We got our baby shower package from Ohio and had fun opening up all the cute outfits, quilt, and diaper bag!
  
• At 3:00 was my next doctors appointment and I was fully prepared to tell my doctor that I wanted to go into labor that day. Problem: my doctor was not there! She had to go deliver another baby so I had to see someone else. My next appointment is Monday at 10 AM.
  
• So still no baby!
• I was so depressed that I was still pregnant that Kevin took me to Dairy Queen and then we went shopping and basically finished our Baby Check List

Thursday 5/15

• I probably should have gone to school today but I was having major pain on Wednesday night so I got a substitute. So I am offically on Maternity Leave.
  
• We went to the outdoor mall here in Reno and walked around. We bought Madelyn her blessing outfit at Gap, ate at Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch, and then had fondue for dessert! I was in heaven. Kevin made me try one of his hot wings but it did nothing besides make my mouth sore.
  
• Then Kevin took me on a tour of UNR and made me walk up and down stairs and hills.
  
• I saw my shadow for the first time and it scared me!
  
• Still no baby!

Friday 5/16

• We woke up at the crack of dawn because the sun comes through our blinds at like 5 AM!
• Luckily, we got our Stimulus check from the government and we could pay Kevin's summer tuition.
• Then we went to Wal-Mart and bought our glider! Kevin put it together for me and I have had fun pretending to have a baby.
• Her room is all put together so we are just waiting not so patiently.
  
• My mom called and told me that she bought her ticket to come to Reno! She comes next Friday and so I WILL have that baby before then.
  
• It was 88 degrees here in Reno but Kevin has no mercy and made me go to the park and walk around. First we played horseshoes but we are both really bad! He won though. I was so hot and tired by the end that we had to go to 7-11 and get slurpees.
• Kevin then took me to the scrapbook store! Later that night I finished my Christmas page from 2006.
• We went and got pizza for dinner and then came home to our stifling hot house.
• Still no baby!

Saturday 5/17

• It's my due date!
  
• As far as I can tell-there will be no baby today! We have pleaded, prodded, threatened and bribed her to come out into the world but to no avail. Is it bad if our child already doesn't listen to her parents?

Here I am at 40 Weeks in all my pregnant glory!
