We decided it was time to finally go on a family vacation. Kevin can't miss a lot of work so we just took a long weekend getaway to Monterey. First of all we learned our lesson to always check the weather forecast before traveling because it was so cold! The high was 60 and we packed shorts and t-shirts. We had to buy some hoodies to compensate for wearing shorts.
We spent Friday in Monterey and went to the aquarium. Maddy enjoyed it but did not love it. I think if we went back in a couple years then she would like it more.
She did not want to touch anything- she can be very stubborn.
After the aquarium we went to Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf. She loved looking at and hearing the Sea Lions and Seals. I think we could have stood there all day.

We ended the day at the Dennis the Menace playground. It was a good first day of vacation.
