The thing to do in Bern is to float down the Aare River which goes through the middle of the city. We got to Bern at 4 in the afternoon and the river was 62 degrees. We were amazed at how many people float the river and most of them do it without any floaties.
They also had some pools by the river for the kids to play in. The pools were a balmy 68 degrees!

Bears are the mascot of Bern and they have statues and sculptures of them all over the place. Bern was a very pretty city but we got there too late and everything was closed.
The house were Einstein developed his theory of relativity. Look closely at the window!
In the middle of the city by the river there is a bear park with four brown bears. Maddy and Scott would have stayed and looked at those bears for hours.
Then it was time for the 5 hour car ride home! Thanks to my dad for doing most of the night driving and getting us home safely!
