On my parents last full day in Germany we drove up to a medieval walled city, Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It was a beautiful city but I guess I was all pictured out and did not take hardly any pictures.
Then we stopped in Ulm which has the tallest church in the world at 161 meters and 768 steps to the top. We decided to not climb up to the top.
Ulm is also Einstein's birthplace and they have this quirky little statue dedicated to him. We found out while we were in Ulm that 80% of the city was destroyed in a bombing raid during WWII so most of the city is new and not so charming.
Ulm also boasts the crookedest house in the world as well
It was such a wonderful and amazing visit with my parents and we all miss them bunches. And cannot wait until we can convince them to come and see us again!
