This castle in France was used until the Thirty Years War and then abandoned until 1900 when it was restored by the German Emperor Wilhelm II. So even though it is in France it has lots of German influence incorporated into it.
Scott really wanted to take a canon home but he couldn't lift it
He did take home a couple of rocks though
