We got back to Reno on a Thursday and moved into our house the next Friday. The kids did well with living in a hotel for a week but it is so nice to have more space, a backyard and all of our own things.
We don't have enough furniture to fill up the house yet so the kids have plenty of room to roam and ride their toys.
One day during Scott's nap Maddy told me there was a snake on the driveway and sure enough there was a huge one!! Our backyard backs up to a hill of sagebrush so we have been told that occasionally there will be snakes around. This one was not poisonous but still creepy.
Maddy loves to ride her scooter around the cul-de-sac and is very careful about looking both ways before she crosses the street.
Having a backyard has been such a huge blessing. Scott would stay outside all day if I let him. We have a sand area and a patio and he is in heaven. Maddy enjoys it too and always asks if we can eat dinner outside and if it is not too windy then we oblige her.
