They said it would be an easy hike and I forgot to bring shoes other than flip flops. Easy to me means a paved straight path but apparently I was very mistaken. We got quite the looks from our fellow hikers but it was still enjoyable and beautiful. Maddy said on the way back that she never wants to go hiking again and I was inclined to agree with her.
Hopefully when the kids are older and can walk by themselves we can try being adventurous again!
