Life Comes At You Fast

This week I have had to part with two pieces of clothing that I have had and worn since HIGH SCHOOL and my FRESHMAN year of college. It has been an awful week and now I feel like part of me is missing. First, on Monday I had to throw out my favorite pair of jean capri's that I bought from the American Eagle clearance rack for $7 back in high school. They have been with me through so much but they were looking horrible and all you had to do was touch them and a new hole was created. Then yesterday I was at my high school setting up my room when one of my favorite flip flops broke! I have known for quite a while now that such a catastrophe could happen but it still stunk. Especially because I had Maddy with me at school and then I had to walk all around the school with only one shoe and then drive home with only one school. Maybe I should have chucked both but the concrete is hot so at least I could stand on one foot while putting the baby in and out of the car. I now feel naked without my favorite articles of clothing- I will just have to wait until next summer to replace them!

Another big change was that I had to leave my baby everyday! Luckily, we found a great babysitter who Maddy likes. Maddy was only with the babysitter for about an hour to and hour and a half and then Kevin would pick her up. They had some intense bonding times. Kevin would then meet me for lunch so I could feed her. It worked out well for this week but is coming to a halt next week when my kiddies start arriving. I think that I am mostly ready for them but who really knows! Cross your fingers for us that next week goes smoothly as I start teaching again, Kevin goes back to school, and Maddy has no other option than to take a bottle! It will be an exciting and exhausting week!

She has also started this new obsession with sucking her fingers all the time. It's pretty cute but is also seems to make her drool more.

I feel your pain (not with the high school clothes I lost those YEARS ago) but with the starting work again. Everything works out for a reason. At least you have a good sitter
