Berlin Day One

I have still not figured out how to get my pictures in order with the new Blogger so these are in backwards order of how we spent our day.

I find that I have lots of pictures of my children sleeping in strollers. But they just look so cute all slumped over!

At the Holocaust Memorial. I thought the idea was interesting when I read about it but personally I feel like Berlin could have done more to memorialize the Holocaust. I guess there is an information area somewhere that talks more about it but I was with two kids and did not see it. It did not help that while we were there a bunch of school kids showed up and were running all around which made Maddy want to run all around.

At the top of the Reichstag Building. Since we were in a stroller we took a special elevator and went right up without having to wait in line.

Can you see me?

We took a detour to America while in Berlin but they would not let us in to use the potty.

Eating lunch at a cafe.

Now if only one of them would look at the dang camera.

Scott enjoying lunch
There was a fountain outside the Berliner Dom and Altes Museum that Maddy would have played in all day long. We left when she accidentally squatted too low and got her bum all wet.

Berliner Dom. Maddy was too scared of the church to go inside.

At the Pergamon Museum. We did a quick fly by of the museum and saw the highlights such as the Pergamon Alter, Ishtar Gate, a temple to Athena and of course some steps which my children loved the best.
