We loved being in Vienna with the hills! (not so sure Frances loved us though). It was great to be with friends who spoke English and German. Vienna was a beautiful city and Kevin promised to take me back before the Hills move so I can see more.
On Saturday it was Vienna Day so they had lots of free stuff for the kids to do. I think we ended the day with like 10 free balloons tied to our strollers and then the kids cried when they let them go or would pop.
Maddy and Claudy got along really well and she especially loved to ride in his fancy red stroller.
Scott really enjoyed seeing the inside of St Stephens church
On Friday night the kids and I explored Vienna by ourselves and found the city hall where Parliament meets.
See how excited he is?
Then we found a park and he really perked up!
Then we found another park!
Then Maddy had an impromtu show on the steps of the Volkstheatre.
And finally we celebrated the Hapsburg Emperor Franz Joseph.
It was supposed to rain all day Friday so I left my good camera at the hotel and then it only drizzled in the morning so I only have bad pictures from the morning. Oh well.
We spent Thursday at the farm in rural Austria while Kevin had to work on a machine. The kids were quite happy to be out of the car and play in the grass.
It was a lovely trip and I can't wait to go back! But we are off to Berlin this week and Paris the next so at least I will not get bored!
