Bologna, Italy

San Petronio Basilica in Bologna- the church was never finished. Rumor has it that it was going to be the biggest Catholic Church but the Pope did not like that so the work was put on hold and never completed.

Statue of Neptune which is a symbol of Bologna.

I don't know if we picked a bad day or a bad time but hardly anything was open. So instead we hung out outside the churches and got dirty.

Then we got ice cream because you have to eat lots of ice cream in Europe.

Bologna is known for their covered walkways which was a nice escape from the heat. We also enjoyed the public library which had a nice kid area and selection of English books.

We ended the day by playing at IKEA on our way back to Kevin and then headed to Milan.
