We decided to spend Saturday at Marienplatz in the heart of Munich. We got there too late to see the clock tower preform so we will have to go back another time though. Saturday was the hottest day that Munich has ever had in the month of April and there were hundreds of people out and about so it was really crowded and hot!
Statue of Mary hence the name Marienplatz
Scott being reverent inside the Frauenkirche
Outside the Frauenkirche they had this fun pond with mini water falls that Maddy enjoyed splashing in and it is a miracle that she did not fall in!
Here is the Frauenkirche- notice that one of the domed towers is under construction. I think it is going to be a theme for our European adventures that the most famous sights will be behind scaffolding.
Being that it was the hottest day ever in Munich- getting Eis was a must. It was our first time getting Eis in Europe and it will not be the last time.
Maddy noticed a princess and really wanted to go and say hi. It was actually a bachelorette party and so they made her an honorary member. She was so excited to see the princess and get her own sash.
